Device Selection
To begin the build setup, users must select a device for deploying their AI model. The list of available boards shows devices currently hosted in the ADI Remote Board Farm that are compatible with the selected task type.
Before proceeding, users should ensure that the model they are deploying is compatible with the selected device's processor and specifications. The device selection step is required, and the build setup process cannot proceed until a compatible device is selected.
Steps for selecting a device for model deployment
-
Browse the list of available remote devices.

Note
The device list is dynamic and may change based on availability. Always check for the latest options before proceeding. Click the Refresh icon to update the device list if needed.
Check device availability based on the following criteria:
If a board is selectable, it means the board is:
- Available for use, and
- Compatible with the model's framework and task type.
Non-selectable devices may be:
- In use by another session, or
- Incompatible with the selected model.
-
Select a Device. Click on a device to view its details in the Device Info Panel, including:
- Processor type
- Clock speed
- Supported protocols
- Board photos
- General specifications
-
Ensure the selected device meets your model's requirements in terms of:
- Processing architecture
- Memory capacity
- Supported AI framework
- Task type
-
(Optional) Click the Learn more on analog.com link to open the product page for full specifications.
-
Once a compatible device is selected and reviewed, click Next to continue to the Compile step.
Tip
If the selected device becomes unavailable during Step 6: Deploy and Inference, users can go back to Step 1: Device Selection and choose a different device. This can be done without restarting the entire setup process.
