As embedded systems become more intelligent and more capable of gathering vast amounts of data to deliver real-time, insightful decisions, their impact on peoples’ health, productivity, and safety becomes profound. At the same time, these systems are increasingly complex and connected, which broadens the surface area through which vulnerabilities can be identified and exploited. So, as we place more trust in these systems, ensuring their security is paramount.

Recognizing the importance of emphasizing secure technology, the European Union enacted the Cyber Resilience Act in March 2024, which aims to 1) enforce that products with digital elements (including software products) are designed with security in mind, both at creation and throughout the product lifecycle and lifetime, and 2) better enable users to judge products based on their cybersecurity readiness, with fines and product restrictions applied to non-compliant companies.¹ ADI is leveraging our unique domain knowledge to help ease the pathway for compliance with our customers through easy to deploy security over the breadth of our domains.

Scalable Security with ADI Assure™

The ADI Assure™ brand represents ADI's commitment to integrating security natively at the Intelligent Edge.

At ADI, our technology is central to enabling Intelligent Edge systems to measure, interpret, and act on the physical world – our products touch the data from the moment it’s created. Recognizing this, our newly launched ADI Assure™ offerings are focused on a secure-by-design mentality both in our hardware and software offerings. As software at the edge grows in complexity and capability, providing scalable security approaches to the development, deployment, and operation of software to meet the unique security needs of the application is particularly critical. The need for software to be secure is self-evident, but security must also be easily deployed and managed across product lines and over a product’s lifecycle.

The guiding principles of ADI’s Trusted Edge Security Architecture, which includes common APIs for application developers relying on robust hardware foundations, is to make integrating security into the development environments easier and to provide accessible ways to scale security platforms across hardware designs and security requirements. Security software developers should be able to easily integrate security using their existing development environments and have the flexibility to scale security platforms with minimal to no adjustments in the application. By making our Trusted Edge Security Architecture available within , we are simplifying and accelerating the integration of security into new designs, helping teams to launch with confidence while still achieving aggressive time to market goals and meeting their compliance objectives.
